Assistant Manager, E-Commerce Buying & Merchandising

Key Responsibilities
Buying & Merchandising- Develop and implement buying strategies based on sales trends, inventory levels, and market insights
- Source and evaluate suppliers on pricing, quality, reliability, and compliance
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, MOQs, and delivery schedules to optimise margins and inventory efficiency
- Manage daily e-commerce operations, including order processing, fulfilment coordination, and customer service support
- Monitor platform performance and ensure smooth operations across all online channels
- Ensure product listings, pricing, and content are accurate and up to date
- Plan and execute promotional activities such as bundles, discounts, and vouchers
- Manage online storefront content including banners, categories, and product placements
- Support campaign execution to drive traffic, engagement, and sales conversion
- Monitor customer feedback, reviews, and returns
- Implement improvements to enhance overall customer satisfaction
- Prepare and analyse sales, inventory, and performance reports
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve business performance
- Diploma or Degree in Business, Marketing, Retail, or related field
- At least 4–5 years of experience in e-commerce, buying, merchandising, or retail operations
- Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
- Experience with e-commerce platforms (e.g. Shopee, Lazada, Shopify) is advantageous
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel with strong analytical skills
- Good communication and stakeholder management abilities
