This is a single-point-of-contact role at the heart of a fast paced and growing business segment. You will run a true door-to-deck operation from the supplier's door to the vessel's deck we will be measured on speed, reliability, and the commercial health of the account. While the focus is marine spares, the role is built to flex into adjacent time-critical logistics as the portfolio grows.

Key Responsibilities
Operational- Act as the customer's primary operational contact for marine spares across the fleet, ensuring critical parts reach vessels at the next port of call — on time, every time.
- Run the control-tower workflow end to end: order intake, multi-modal routing (air / courier / sea / land), customs and documentation, last-mile to vessel or port agent, and proof of on-board delivery.
- Engineer consolidation opportunities across orders and hubs to cut cost and transit time without compromising deadlines.
- Manage time-critical and "next flight out" shipments where a delay means a vessel sails without its spare — and handle routine maintenance flow with equal discipline.
- Coordinate across the Singapore and Hong Kong gateways and the wider SGL network — carriers, ship agents, port handlers, and suppliers.
- Own dangerous-goods handling, customs clearance, and regulatory compliance across SG and beyond.
- Track and report SLA / KPI performance (transit times, on-time delivery, exception resolution) and drive continuous improvement.
- Own the P&L health of the account: quoting, mode-and-cost optimization, rate management, margin discipline, and accurate billing.
- Build the relationship beyond operational contacts — understand vessel schedules, procurement cycles, and pain points, and turn them into new lanes and services.
- Strengthen carrier, supplier, and port-agent relationships to secure capacity and advantageous terms.
- Lead quarterly business reviews and act as the customer's strategic logistics partner, not just a vendor.
- Identify cross-sell and expansion opportunities, including adjacent time-critical verticals, and help shape the offering as it scales.
- Partner closely with operations, customer service, pricing, and regional leadership teams to ensure alignment between commercial objectives and operational delivery.
- Promote a collaborative and performance-oriented culture aligned with the organisation’s values and growth ambitions.
- Provide guidance and support to local commercial teams where required to strengthen regional business development capabilities.
- Market Intelligence & Commercial Excellence
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer behavior to provide actionable commercial insights.
- Contribute strategic recommendations to support regional expansion plans and service development initiatives.
Candidate Profile
5+ years in freight forwarding, time-critical logistics, or supply chain — marine spares / door-to-deck or other 24/7 critical-parts experience strongly preferred.
Proven ability to wear both hats: commercially astute (rates, mode selection, margin, account growth) and operationally hands-on (you can run a shipment yourself when it matters).
Control-tower mindset: orchestration, real-time visibility, and proactive, transparent status updates.
Strong knowledge of Singapore and ideally Hong Kong customs, port, dangerous-goods, and airfreight environments.
Calm under pressure, with a "never say never" attitude and the resilience to take the night call when a vessel can't sail without you.
Excellent communicator who builds trust with everyone from a ship's superintendent to a procurement head.
Customer-obsessed, ownership mindset, and ready to help build a brand-new control tower from the ground up.
