Service Engineer (2 Stroke Service)

Attend services of the new gen. 2 Stroke EC engine (eg.,ME-B, ME-C) & DF engine components including operational troubleshooting.

Carry out service and repair on HPS including chain drive, HCU including FIVA valve and Alpha lubricator, ECS modules.
Capability on modifications for EPL as per IMO regulations.
Handle onboard overhaul of 2 Stroke engines fuel pump onboard
eg.,Wartsila RTA
Check/replacement of suction delivery and spill valves and injection timing adjustment, and MAN MC fuel pump together with VIT .
Assist with inspection, installation (incl. engine alignment), repair, upgrading, troubleshooting & overhaul of diesel engines and auxiliary equipment.
Prepare comprehensive job scopes, including technical details, manpower plans, and schedules. Conduct daily toolbox meetings to align the team.
Communicate effectively with agents, ship owners, class societies, and subcontractors. Manage work arrangements and permits
Provide timely updates on job status and technical issues. Be proactive in addressing customer concerns.
Track man-hours, material costs, and vendor expenses. Ensure expenditures are within the budget and manage miscellaneous costs.
Prepare detailed work reports with data, photos, and formal investigation findings. Use templates and formats for consistency.
Provide repair recommendations and proposals based on breakdowns or failures.
Generate lists of spare parts required for overhauls and repairs
Prepare work schedules using Gantt charts to visualize and manage project timelines.

Requirements:

At least Diploma in Marine/Mechanical Engineering or MEO Class II Cert. of Competency
At least 5 years working experience with Engine Makers or Marine Industry on new generation engines
Service knowledge on HPS, HCU, ECS, FIVA
Possesses Seaman book and has core knowledge and sailing experience on electronic controlled engines
Fluent in English speaking and report writing
Able to travel frequently
