About the Role

We’re looking for an exceptional Head Barista with both craft mastery and brand-building vision — someone who can lead from behind the counter and drive the creation of a specialty coffee brand from 0 to 1. You’ll play a pivotal role in defining our coffee philosophy, developing signature blends, training the next generation of baristas, and creating a coffee experience that sets new standards in Singapore’s specialty scene.

Key Responsibilities

Brand Creation & R&D

Develop and execute the coffee program from concept to launch, including bean sourcing, roast profiling, and menu curation.
Collaborate with management and marketing teams to define the brand identity, coffee storytelling, and customer experience journey.
Conduct R&D to continuously refine taste profiles and innovate new beverages that reflect the brand’s philosophy.

Operational Leadership

Set up and optimize bar operations, from equipment calibration to workflow design.
Ensure consistency and quality across all beverages and outlets.
Manage inventory, supplier relationships, and quality control processes.

Training & Mentorship

Lead barista training programs focused on excellence, hospitality, and storytelling.
Build a strong coffee culture rooted in education, curiosity, and pride.

Community & Competition

Represent the brand in the specialty coffee community.

Guide and inspire team members to participate in competitions and industry events.

Requirements

National Barista Competition experience — top-tier performance and understanding of competition standards.
7+ years of barista and coffee R&D experience, preferably across multiple specialty concepts.
Proven ability to build a specialty coffee brand from scratch, including involvement in design, sourcing, and menu development.
Deep technical knowledge of coffee extraction, sensory analysis, and equipment calibration.
Strong leadership, communication, and training skills.
Passion for coffee innovation and storytelling.
