Assistant Engineer - Data Centre Facilities Management (Shift hours)

Salary: Basic Salary + Shift Allowance S$300

About the Role

Our client, a leading organisation in critical infrastructure and engineering services, is seeking an Assistant Facilities Maintenance Engineer to support the operations of mission-critical data centre facilities.

The individual will need to work effectively as part of a 24×7 operations team ensuring uptime, safety, and reliability of data centre environments.

• Maintain and operate facility equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime
• Perform first-level troubleshooting, root cause isolation, and recovery actions for reported incidents, escalating issues to supervisors when required
• Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance (RM), and service orders (SO) to ensure continuous operations
• Prepare and maintain documentation including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and equipment task checklists
• Work as part of a team to conduct facility inspections and report conditions that may impact operations
• Perform repair, maintenance, and installation works on building and facility systems
• Conduct routine monitoring and spot checks of all building equipment and systems
• Participate in the company’s Emergency Response Team (ERT), first aid, and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) activities
• Ensure calls and emails are responded to in a timely, professional, and efficient manner
• Support supervisors and managers with ad-hoc tasks as assigned
• Contribute to team objectives by supporting related operational tasks as needed
• Ensure proper handover and takeover of duties during shift changes
• Monitor and maintain data centre air-conditioning, chilled water, and cooling systems
• Ensure proper handover and takeover between AM (8am–8pm) and PM (8pm–8am) shifts

• Experience in data centre facilities management,
• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical field / engineering & building services industry is highly preferred
• Experience with data centre cooling, power, security, and maintenance is an advantage
• Able to perform repairs, maintenance, and installation works
• Able to read architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical as-built drawings (advantage)
• Computer literate and able to submit daily reports
• Comfortable with 12-hour rotating AM/PM shifts (8am / 8pm) that includes day, night and weekends
• Team player with good communication skills
