About The Job
The Institute for Adult Learning (IAL), an autonomous institute of the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS), is at the forefront of building capabilities and offering continuing professional development for an effective, innovative and responsive Training and Adult Education (TAE) sector.
We are looking for a Business Development Manager to support our Partnership & Market Development Division in expanding IAL's market presence and building high-impact enterprise partnerships. You will play a key role in driving business growth by identifying opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and delivering solutions that meet enterprise and sectoral needs.
What You Will Be Doing- Drive business development and sales initiatives to grow IAL's enterprise portfolio
- Build and manage relationships with corporate clients, partners, and ecosystem stakeholders
- Identify new market opportunities and support go-to-market strategies
- Lead consultative engagements with clients to understand needs and co-develop solutions
- Work with internal teams to translate client needs into programmes and offerings
- Grow and manage key accounts to ensure sustained partnerships and repeat engagements
- Bachelor degree with 5-10 years of relevant working experience.
- Proven experience in business development, partnerships, or enterprise sales, with a strong track record of closing deals
- Experience in the education, training, consulting, or related sectors is preferred.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability in consultative selling and solutioning
- Effective negotiation and stakeholder management capabilities
- Strong commercial acumen and understanding of market dynamics
- Ability to work across teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
The successful appointee will be based in IAL Campus located at Lifelong Learning Institute next to Paya Lebar MRT station.
