Job Description & Requirements
As the Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for spearheading new market entry, managing key accounts, and driving revenue growth across the APAC region. This role will focus on launching strategic infrastructure such as AI and Device Insurance, while simultaneously driving monetization through digital marketing and AI solution sales.You will act as a vital bridge between the local subsidiary and the Japan Headquarters.
Key Responsibilities- Build strong business relationship with clients and develop co-created solutions to enhance service offerings.
- Identify new market opportunities, business leads, and viable income streams to drive regional growth
- Review sales proposals and tender documents to ensure competitiveness and effective risk mitigation
- Operate with a focus on exponential expansion through strategic business investments and the optimization of allocated resources
- Lead and mentor a diverse team through proactive knowledge sharing and professional development
- Launch, operate, and scale a localized sourcing and sales model for used devices and device-insurance businesses across the APAC region
- Drive lead generation within the Data Marketing Team for the sale of digital marketing products and AI solutions
- Work closely with the NI/SI/AIDepartment to establish product sales for GPU as a Service, Data Center infrastructure, and related AI product sales businesses
- Gather and organise AI-related market intelligence via desk research and interviews to formulate a comprehensive strategy for the APAC region
- Act as a sales channel for AI pre-sales and develop B2B2B collaborations by leveraging telecom operators and System Integrators (SI) companies
- Maintain daily liaison with the Japan Headquarters’ Business Development team to align regional activities with global objectives.
- Manage business resources, including manpower and internal assets, while making independent business decisions in a high-pressure environment
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- At least 5–6 years of experience in business development, with a proven track record of launching new businesses
- Business-level Japanese language proficiency is mandatory for reporting and daily coordination with the Japan HQ.
- Practical knowledge of AI solutions and infrastructure (Data Centers, Storage, or GPU services) and familiarity with E-commerce and Digital Marketing industries.
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with the ability to build deep rapport with clients
- Highly driven individuals with the openness to learn, take on new challenges, and make independent decisions
- Willingness to take on tactical, “hands-on” sales tasks alongside high-level strategic planning.
