Operations Officer (Marine)

Reporting to the Operations Supervisor or Head of Agency or, this position is responsible for operational matters on the assigned vessels. The position supports the smooth conduct of daily operations in the ship agency together with the other members of the operations department.

The position offers the opportunity to take on independent responsibility and make a strong impact on the overall performance of the company.

• Ensure high service levels are delivered to all ships where Grandteam is appointed as the shipping agent.
• Assist with Husbandry arrangements, crew changes, and other coordination tasks while meeting the tight deadlines.
• Collection and Delivery of CTM safely to Master onboard.
• Co-ordinate and delivery of all crew mail and documents to Master.
• Work closely with the other team members within operations / accounts to deliver strong results.
• Coordinate with MPA/Ship Owners and other statutory bodies as required to perform the various ship husbanding tasks.
• Coordinate with ICA / Ship Owners and other statutory bodies as required to perform crew changes.
• Coordinate with Port Service providers for various services administered to the vessel during her stay in line agency’s approved vendors.
• Work closely with Vessel command to ensure prompt delivery of services within the required Port stay.
• Effective communication with various stakeholders during ongoing operations
• Identify, investigate, and analyze potential operational improvement. As appropriate, based on findings make proposal for operational changes (policy, procedures, processes, etc.).

• Higher Nitec or Diploma in Maritime, Marine, Logistics, Business, or related discipline.
• Experience in relevant ship agency, port, or marine operations experience will be an advantage.
• Energetic, meticulous, proactive, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable with office-based coordination work; willingness to visit vessels when required will be an advantage.
• Able to communicate effectively with internal teams, vessel crew, ship owners, vendors, and statutory bodies.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
