Job description:
Maintain a high level of service standards in the department. To assist the Head of Department in the daily running of the department and maintain a high level of service to the patients and to ensure continuous improvements to work processes for both Khoo Teck Puat Hospital and Yishun Community Hospital.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(A) SPECIFIC- Assist to ensure department operates and complies with applicable laws and regulations.
- Assess, identify and mitigate risks that may hinder operations, reputation, safety and financial well-being of the organisation.
- Assist to ensure review of department policies, inventory, maintenance of equipment, monitor feedback and manage operational issues, for high levels of work quality.
- Assist to monitor key performance indicators and budget utilisation.
- Assist to manage contracted vendors to ensure compliance to contracts and ensure service standards are maintained.
- Assist to ensure staff are well-trained and adhere to regulatory, safety and infection control standards.
- Assist to ensure smooth communication between hospital management, feedback from customers, mandatory authorities, vendors etc.
- Walk the ground and conduct inspections to ensure that a consistent high level of service is maintained.
- Manage feedback and complaints with an understanding of the mechanisms of the feedback channels so that work processes can be improved.
- Foster continuous improvement as our way of life by encouraging staff efforts at improving processes to achieve operational excellence.
- Support emergency operations when necessary.
- Support all corporate activities and community projects.
- Carry out any other duties as assigned by Reporting Officer.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE- Basic degree or diploma with minimum 3 - 5 years in service industry/ housekeeping/ healthcare related areas.
- Knowledge of hospital and service operations would be preferred.
- Good communication, organisational, management, and interpersonal skills.
- Possess positive attitude, strong analytical skills, initiative and keenness to pick up knowledge about computer software and statistics.
