Senior Executive, Development - Tampines

The Senior Executive, Development is part of the Development team, which aims to enhance the financial resources of the Singapore Symphony Group. The Senior Executive, Development will contribute to the work of stewarding patrons from philanthropic and corporate organisations and individuals by supporting donor relations and executing events to ensure a successful and memorable experience for attendees and donors.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Event Planning and Execution- Plan, organise, and execute fundraising and stewardship events aimed at engaging donors, fulfilling corporate commitments, and cultivating new prospects, with guidance from Manager.
- Oversee all event logistics, including performance and venue coordination, transportation, equipment, volunteer engagement in relation to the Symphony Ball, and permit acquisition, ensuring smooth execution.
- Manage and track event budgets, ensuring fiscal responsibility and adherence to financial guidelines.
- Provide comprehensive on-site event support, proactively addressing issues to guarantee an exceptional experience for all attendees.
- Cultivate relationships with and manage all event vendors, including venues, caterers, musicians and speakers, and audio-visual providers, negotiating contracts and ensuring high-quality, timely delivery.
- Support the cultivation and follow-up of sponsorships and partnerships crucial for event success.
- Manage the full invitation and registration process under Manager’s guidance, ensuring seamless communication with all parties, to achieve a positive experience for guests.
- Collaborate with marketing and communications departments (internal and external) with event facts and details for their event promotions, where necessary.
- Drive post-event activities, including expressing gratitude to attendees, sponsors, and volunteers.
- Conduct post-event evaluations, collecting feedback to assess success and identify areas for continuous improvement.
- Generate clear and concise reports on event performance, attendee satisfaction, and key outcomes.
- Assist in any other development, promotional, or publicity events for the organisation.
- Occasionally provide cover for colleagues during their absence.
- Additional roles and responsibilities may be assigned if required.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum Diploma in Arts Administration, Event Management, Non-Profit Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of full-time or contract work experience in event planning, preferably within a non-profit or arts organisation.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and thrive under tight deadlines while maintaining a calm and composed demeanour.
- Strong customer-service mindset.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, fluency in other widely used languages is a plus.
- A self-starter who can work independently yet also be a collaborative team player, demonstrating a strong sense of pride in their work quality.
- Passion for symphonic music and/or the performing arts is preferred.
- Able to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends.
