The Role- Shape the role of financial business partnership in SG and Group, working closely with Head of Finance and Business leadership team to lead and develop the annual budget and re-forecasts including commentary for regular business review
- Lead and support development the financial strategy needed to support category and business objectives
- Support the Head of Finance in managing commercial/analyst to deliver analytical requirements of management team
- Contribute to the budget and forecasting process including planning, budgeting and forecasting of sales, margins and working capital
- Work across teams and partners to drive sales and profitability strategies and analytics development
- Provide PMO support to monitor, manage and govern the data analytics strategy & transformation programmes/initiatives
- Develop strong working relationships with relevant business partners to ensure effective project delivery and communication
- Present insights with recommendations to business partners on a regular basis
- Advocate the use of data as the voice of the customer and support the development of a data-driven decision-making culture
- Support the Head of Finance on the budget and forecast process to formulate a cohesive view of business with the commercial team
- Ensure the team is motivated. Work efficiently and collectively to agreed objectives and development plans
- To enhance collaboration and alignment across different finance functions.
- Supervise business cases for any new business initiatives
- Lead and initiate enhancements to reporting and insight generation
- Coach and develop finance team members
- Degree in Accountancy / Business, or related field
- At least 7 years’ of experience, with 2 years in a Manager's capacity
- Experience in retail would be advantageous
- Understanding and experience of data driven sales and marketing (O2O sales, digital and database marketing), customer and loyalty analytics
- Excellent presentation and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal & team-working skills, result-oriented with strong business and marketing acumen
- Experience in advanced analytics such as customer segmentation, predictive modelling, association analysis and web/app analytics methodologies would be advantageous.
- A natural curiosity to interrogate data and identify hidden patterns to support business needs
- Familiarity with Tableau, SAP BI, Databricks, Azure, Google Analytics and Marketing Cloud would be useful
