Lead Mechanical Design Engineer (Special Purpose Machine)

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end mechanical design of Special Purpose Machines independently, from customer meetings and requirement study to concept creation, proposal, execution, and support.
• Prepare project proposals including concept explanation, machine working principle, cycle time estimation, risks, and assumptions.
• Create 2D layout drawings for proposal stage and 3D concept models using SolidWorks for customer review and approval.
• Prepare complete BOMs including manufacturing BOM, and bought-out parts list, and support costing and procurement.
• Generate accurate 2D manufacturing drawings, sub-assembly drawings, and assembly drawings with tolerances and technical notes fabrication.
• Possess strong hands-on knowledge of pneumatics, servo motors, actuators, linear motion systems, sensors, and automation components used in Special Purpose Machines.
• Have proven experience designing Special Purpose Machines for manufacturing environments, especially automotive MNC production and assembly lines.
• Have experience with jigs, fixtures, assembly stations, testing machines, material handling systems, and special-purpose mechanisms.
• Demonstrate strong understanding of shop-floor practices including machining, fabrication, welding, and assembly processes.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 5-7 years of working experience
• At least a Diploma or Degree in Mechanical/Mechantronic
