Mechanical Engineer / Mechanical Design Engineer (Contract role)

We are seeking a talented Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in designing innovative container solutions for mobility and warehouse applications. This role involves end-to-end design of containers that are both vehicle-compatible and optimized for warehousing, ensuring safety, efficiency, and functionality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design containers to be loaded on vehicles, including bracing, brackets, and structural supports to withstand transport conditions.
• Develop container layouts for warehousing, including racking systems, space optimization, and storage configurations.
• Utilize SolidWorks and simulation tools to design, calculate, validate, and test mechanical structures.
• Liaise with customers and internal teams to coordinate project requirements, timelines, and deliverables.
• Ensure designs comply with safety, structural, and operational standards.
• Provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle, from concept to deployment.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience in mechanical design, preferably in container, racking, or structural systems.
• Proficient in SolidWorks and engineering simulation software.
• Strong understanding of structural integrity, load-bearing calculations, and bracing design.
• Excellent project coordination and communication skills, with the ability to work with customers and cross-functional teams.
• Detail-oriented, analytical, and capable of problem-solving in complex mechanical systems.
