BUSINESS RELATIONSHIP MANAGER
We are seeking a Business Relationship Manager to manage our corporate customer portfolio. The incumbent will report to the Joint General Manager in charge of business and will be responsible for marketing, business development, relationship management and risk management for new and existing customers in the Asia-Pacific region.The role also includes planning business expansion strategies in coordination with relevant staff within the branch and relevant departments in the Head Office, as well as originating deals with corporate clients across Asia.
The incumbent will be required to perform credit evaluation, including the preparation of credit proposals, reviews and reports in Japanese for submission to the Head Office. The role includes establishing and developing market contacts for businesses selected by the Bank, identifying and cultivating new business opportunities to achieve a more diversified customer base and a broader range of corporate banking products, and managing and strengthening customer relationships with a focus on cross-selling and portfolio risk management.
The incumbent will manage the business promotion departments under this role’s charge in line with the Bank’s credit policy and will be responsible for increasing the profitability of their portfolios. The role also includes developing, reviewing and recommending objectives and procedures for corporate banking operations, implementing and administering account management activities, and coordinating work processes to meet operational requirements.
Applicants should possess a degree in Economics, Law, Accounting and Finance or Business Administration, with about 10 years' experience in corporate banking. Knowledge in specialised lending such as project finance, object finance and commodity finance would be an advantage.Familiarity with and a good understanding of the business culture and processes of Japanese organizations is required. Due to regular communication with the Head Office, a high level of proficiency in both spoken and written Japanese is essential.
Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills are necessary. Overseas travel may be required.
