Operations Executive - Ocean Freight Export/Import

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Operations Executive to join our Ocean Freight Export/Import team at AWOT Global Logistics Singapore Pte. Ltd. in the Changi East Region. In this full-time position, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless and efficient flow of cargo through our global logistics network.
What You'll Be Doing- Coordinate and manage the export and import of ocean freight shipments, including booking, documentation, and customs clearance processes
- Monitoring and tracking the status of incoming shipments to ensure they arrive on time and in good condition
- Liaise with clients, shipping lines, and other stakeholders to provide exceptional customer service and resolve any issues that may arise
- Maintain accurate records and data related to shipment status, costs, and performance metrics
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the development of best practices
- Assist with the implementation of new systems and procedures to enhance the overall efficiency of our operations
- Any other adhoc duties assigned by management
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the freight forwarding or logistics industry, preferably in an operations or customer service role
- Thorough understanding of ocean freight shipping processes, including documentation, customs regulations, and carrier requirements
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients and partners
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on delivering high-quality, customer-centric service
- Proficiency in using logistics management software and Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work well in a team and adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
