Job Description & Requirements
Objectives of this role- Strategize, implement, and oversee processes for increased productivity and growth
- Design daily operational programs that achieve organizational objectives
- Manage employee activities, providing suitable resources
- Establish and grow relationships with relevant partners
- Establish cost parameters and manage overall P&L for company
- Maintain plan for forecasting, targeting, and attaining sales
- Evaluate and manage risks associated with LNG trading transactions
- Supervise employee productivity and provide internal processes for improved efficiency while adhering to legal guidelines
- Develop long-term strategic initiatives
- Create and maintain rolling quarterly and annual plan for forecasting, targeting and attaining sales
- Develop and maintain internal regulations and other company rules, policies and processes
- Develop, implement and maintain budgetary and resource allocation plans
- Participate in development of market and competitor analyses and trading strategy
- Support customer-facing operations, including sales, marketing and public relations
- Coordinate and communicate with the Parent Company (The Kansai Electric Power Co., Inc.) and Japanese counterparts on a regular basis to keep the corporate strategy aligned with the Parent Company’s policy and strategy
- Support Finance & Accounting team to consolidate financing report
- Assess, monitor, and manage risks related to LNG trading transactions, including market, credit, and operational exposures
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in business, management or related field
- At least 5 years experience in LNG, Oil or Coal business with specific knowledge and exposure in the LNG, Oil or Coal trading cycle and value chain.
- At least 3 years experience in a business management or similar role
- Experience in developing business strategy
- Strong ability in financial and budgetary processes. CPA (JP, SG, US, UK) holder has a strong advantage
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Up-to-date knowledge of relevant industry trends
- Understanding of the electricity market in Japan and LNG inventory operation by Japanese utility companies
- Be respectful to colleagues, internal and external stakeholders and be inclusive in a multi-cultural work environment
