Part-Time Residential Care Assistant (Children & Youth Residential Home)

- Provide supervision, caregiving, and guidance to children and young persons, ensuring their physical and psychological well-being.
- Support the smooth daily operations of the Home by maintaining a safe, clean, healthy, and therapeutic living environment.
- Assist the Anchor in conducting Emotional Regulation Drills to help residents manage distress and impulsive behaviours.
- Support residents with daily personal routines, including dressing, grooming, meals, and personal hygiene.
- Ensure residents attend school and scheduled programmes.
- Account for residents’ movements and update records in the Home Management System.
- Build trusting and supportive relationships with residents through companionship and consistent engagement.
- Practise Trauma-Informed Care, encouraging and reinforcing positive behaviour.
- Support discipline and upkeep of bedrooms, dormitories, and common areas.
- Plan and coordinate residents’ daily routines and activities.
- Escort and supervise residents to school, clinics, hospitals, and external programmes.
- Ensure residents take their prescribed medication as required.
- Monitor residents’ well-being and report incidents, concerns, or medical issues promptly.
- Respond appropriately to incidents and complete required reports.
- Carry out any other duties as assigned.
- Minimum GCE ‘O’ Levels
- Fluent in English.
- Working hours: 1pm – 7pm (to be deployed on selected weekdays, Saturday and Sunday)
- Passionate, patient, and committed to working with children and young persons.
- Able to work independently with a pleasant disposition and strong teamwork skills.
- Good interpersonal skills to provide emotional support.
- Strong morals, ethics, and a genuine commitment to child welfare.
- Able to work flexible hours, in case of urgent roster needs (contingent on staff’s availability) including short-notice deployment when required.
