Woodlands - Application Engineer (Pumps)

We are representing our client, a German MNC in Pumps and Valves in seeking the following:

Application Engineer (Pumps)

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and submit quotations, and follow-up on all enquiries to new and existing customers in a timely manner.
• Select appropriate pump equipment or system, and its accessories, suitable for different applications as per enquiry or tender specification and requirement.
• Liaise with sub-contractors and / or suppliers on pricing, as per tender specification and requirement.
• Generate costing sheet, as per tender requirement, within the time frame and in accordance to Company gross margin guideline.
• Reply to customers queries on quotations submitted.
• Follow up with clients on the price positioning and tender status; maintain good customer business relationship.
• On receipt of order, ensure proper handover of purchase order, along with all back up papers and price calculations, to Order Processing Department
• Support Sales Team and maintain close liaison with other Department stakeholders; to achieve Company objectives and targets.
• Update technical documents and price lists as and when appropriate.
• Ensure validity of pump certification with the relevant authorities; application and submission for renewal on annual / bi-annual basis. E.g., SGBC certification
• Any other duties as assigned by manager.

Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree in any Engineering-related field of study
• Those in pump / heavy industry will be an added advantage.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be a team player.
