The Services required are set out as follows:

1. Work closely with Gear Up Committee teachers to ensure the smooth

running of Canopy, including establishing a system to track and ensure

1. Maintain firmness and uphold ground rules while remaining

1. Engage and build positive relationships with students during stipulated

Canopy hours and when running Canopy programmes.

1. Collaborate with Gear Up Committee teachers to plan and implement

programmes and workshops catering to the needs of smaller, targeted

1. Equip students with socio-emotional skills through Canopy programmes.
2. Foster a sense of school connectedness and sense of belonging to the

school, by utilising the affordances of the Canopy to build positive

1. Provide support as an additional staff member for Learning Journeys or

Excursions for students identified for Canopy programmes.

1. Provide relevant feedback and progress of students to school personnel.
2. Provide support and consultation to school teachers on students needs

1. Provide administrative support to school teachers on matters relating to

Canopy programmes and students where needed.

1. Observe and identify key needs of targeted students.
2. Utilise identification and screening tools to assess targeted students

1. Discuss needs and intervention plans of identified targeted students with

relevant school personnel (e.g. student management team personnel

and school leaders).
