Mondays to Thursdays: 2.00pm to 5.00pm
Fridays: 12.00pm to 3.00pm

Key Roles
Canopy Management & Engagement

Oversee daily Canopy operations – manage loan and return of games/items with clear accountability systems.
Uphold ground rules firmly yet approachably – maintain professionalism while building trust with students.
Actively engage students during Canopy hours and programmes to foster positive relationships.

Programme Planning & Implementation

Collaborate with Gear Up Committee teachers to plan and run workshops for smaller student groups needing after-school supervision.
Equip students with socio-emotional skills through structured Canopy activities.
Build school belonging by using Canopy as a safe space for positive peer and adult interactions.
Support Learning Journeys / Excursions as an additional staff member for students in Canopy programmes.

School Collaboration & Communication

Provide regular feedback on student progress to school personnel.
Offer consultation and support to teachers regarding student needs and challenges.
Assist teachers with administrative tasks related to Canopy programmes and students.

Student Needs Assessment & Support

Observe and identify key needs of targeted students.
Use screening and identification tools to assess student needs when required.
Discuss intervention plans with Student Management Team and school leaders.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

Diploma in Social Work or related discipline (or equivalent youth work experience/qualifications)
At least 1 year of social work or youth work experience
Rapport building with youth from diverse backgrounds
Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
Experience in designing, planning, and facilitating group programmes for students
Able to work collaboratively with school staff, community partners, and stakeholders
