Technical Support Engineer

Job Descriptions:

1. Execute precision prototyping projects within the Axend laboratory, utilising advanced assembly processes including plasma surface treatment, adhesive dispensing, die bonding, wire bonding, and laser solder reflow.
2. Lead technical equipment demonstrations for prospective clients, showcasing the performance of our equipment, tool and direct material products.
3. Perform rigorous bond testing and quality inspections on prototype assembly units to ensure all customer-specific requirements are met.
4. Manage the complete cycle of machine commissioning, from initial installation at customer sites to comprehensive operator training and final handover.
5. Provide rapid-response on-site support, diagnosing and resolving complex hardware and process-related issues to maintain customer production uptime.
6. Collaborate with the Sales Team to engineer customised technical solutions for complex electronics assembly applications.
7. Develop and deliver high-impact technical presentations that articulate the technical advantages and return of investment of Axend’s product range.
8. Maintain the laboratory environment, ensuring all demo machines are ready for customer trials.

Requirements:

1. Possess a Degree or Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
2. Demonstrate technical familiarity with semiconductor assembly processes such as Wire Bonding, SMT, or Die Attach.
3. Exhibit a high level of self-confidence, maturity, and resourcefulness to navigate independent troubleshooting and high-pressure laboratory deadlines.
4. Utilise strong communication and interpersonal skills to conduct professional training and deliver technical sales presentations.
5. Apply effective organisational skills to manage multiple prototyping projects while maintaining strict quality documentation.
6. Be willing to travel within Singapore and occassionally within Southeast Asia to provide on-site technical support and equipment installations as required.
