What will you do?
As a Management Consultant specializing in Strategy & Consulting, you will work with financial institutions to provide expert advisory services on strategy, operations, and digital transformation across critical banking functions. You will drive high-impact initiatives to improve operational efficiency, customer experience, and profitability.
The ideal candidate will have strong consulting experience combined with a deep understanding of the financial services landscape.
Job Responsibilities- Lead and support strategy and transformation projects for banking clients in the areas of Corporate Banking Streams (Trade & Lending, Payments, Core Banking, and CASA)
- Analyze and assess current client systems, processes, and operations to identify areas for improvement, particularly in banking products and services.
- Develop and deliver tailored strategic solutions that enhance operational efficiency, customer experience, and financial performance.
- Advise clients on the latest industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies within trade, lending, payments, and banking.
- Design and implement roadmaps for digital transformation in areas such as core banking systems, trade financing solutions, payment systems, and CASA products.
- Provide subject-matter expertise and deliver high-quality recommendations related to financial products, including credit and lending portfolios, payment solutions, and current account and savings products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless implementation of strategic recommendations and solutions.
- Present findings, analysis, and actionable strategies to senior stakeholders and client leadership.
- Monitor the effectiveness of implemented strategies and provide ongoing support to ensure continuous improvement and optimization.
- Lead workshops, training sessions, and client engagements to build strong relationships and ensure alignment on project goals.
- Keep abreast of market trends, regulations, and technological innovations in the banking and financial services sector.
- With minimum of 3 years of experience in management consulting, with a focus on either of these Financial Services processes related to Corporate/Core Banking (Trade & Lending, Payments, Core Banking, and CASA (current account and savings account).
- Strong understanding of banking products, services, and regulatory requirements
- In-depth knowledge of digital transformation trends within the banking sector and financial technologies.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to create and deliver presentations to senior executives and stakeholders.
- Proven track record of leading and managing consulting engagements and driving results in a client-facing role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Familiarity with banking software, core banking systems, payment platforms, and lending technologies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and project management tools.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Experience with implementing or advising on core banking systems on the functional processes (e.g., Temenos, Finastra, etc.) and payment processing platforms.
- Expertise in the regulatory environment surrounding Trade Finance, Lending, and Payments in major global markets.
- Familiarity with emerging technologies like blockchain and AI in banking.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and project management best practices.
- Previous experience working with financial institutions, fintech companies, or banking regulators is highly desirable.
