Assistant Engineer - Shift

We are looking for an Assistant Engineer – Shift. You will play a key role in supporting and overseeing engineering operations, ensuring smooth equipment performance, timely maintenance, and adherence to safety and operational standards. Job Responsibilities:

• Identify, carry out, and oversee the maintenance, repair, and installation of mechanical and electrical equipment throughout the hotel, including static and rotary motors, fittings, switchboards, and related systems in both indoor and outdoor areas.
• Repair and maintain all air‑conditioning systems, refrigeration units, plumbing systems, and audio‑visual equipment.
• Operate and regularly check the Hotel Building Fire Alarm System (FAS) and Building Management System (BMS) to ensure they remain in proper working condition at all times.
• Ensure all fire, safety, and sanitation systems are properly maintained and comply with local and international regulations.
• Oversee and allocate work assignments to tradesmen and technicians, ensuring all tasks are carried out in accordance with hotel operating procedures and established standards.
• Maintain daily coordination with other operating departments to ensure operational issues are promptly addressed and resolved.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly reports related to energy consumption, property operations, and maintenance activities.

Talent Profile:

• Minimum of a tradesman certificate, ITE, or Diploma in engineering‑related disciplines.
• At least 3 years of experience working in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical systems, including air‑conditioning and refrigeration systems.
