  1. Strategic Leadership & Corporate Governance
  • Corporate strategy execution - Support Managing Director's strategic vision into operational plans and measurable outcomes.
  • Group governance - Strengthen governance frameworks across all OSG subsidiaries, ensuring alignment with global standards.
  • Cross border coordination - Ensure smooth communication and alignment between HQ, subsidiaries, and global headquarters.
  • Lead the capital restructure and restructuring of Otsuka subsidiaries in Asia and Emerging Markets.
  • Board and shareholder reporting - Oversee preparation of consolidated performance reports, risk assessments, and strategic updates.
  1. Operational Oversight & Performance Management:
  • Operational excellence - Drive continuous improvement initiatives across all corporate functions.
  • KPI and performance management - Establish and monitor KPIs for HQ departments and subsidiaries.
  • Budgeting & financial control - Oversee group level budgeting, forecasting, and financial governance.
  • Risk management - Identify operational, financial, compliance, and cybersecurity risks and implement mitigation strategies
  1. Leadership of Corporate Departments:
Finance
  • Strengthen internal controls, treasury management, and financial reporting across the group.
Human Resources
  • Lead regional HR strategy, talent development, succession planning, and workforce governance for Otsuka’s subsidiaries in Asia and Emerging Markets.
  • Standardize HR policies across subsidiaries while respecting local regulations.
Compliance
  • Ensure adherence to Pharma and FMCG regulatory requirements across Asia and Emerging Markets.
  • Oversee anti-corruption, data protection, and ethical business conduct programs.
Information Security
  • Strengthen cybersecurity posture across all subsidiaries.
  • Implement group wide information security standards and incident response protocols.
General Affairs
  • Oversee corporate administration, facilities, procurement, and business continuity planning.
  • Ensure efficient HQ operations supporting all subsidiaries.
  1. Subsidiary Oversight & Support:
  • Operational alignment - Ensure subsidiaries operate in line with group strategy, policies, and performance expectations.
  • Conduct operational reviews and support underperforming subsidiaries with turnaround plans.
  • Facilitate shared services, cost synergies, and best practice transfer across the group.
  1. Risk Management & Compliance:
  • Establish internal controls and risk management frameworks. Ensure compliance with statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements in Singapore and other jurisdictions where the group operates.
  • Support and facilitate communication between Otsuka Singapore and Otsuka’s operating companies in Asia and emerging markets regarding ongoing projects, challenges, and deliverables, including but not limited to implementation, roll-out, setting up the day-to-day operation of Decision Making Authority Rules (DMAR).

Requirements:

  • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in operations, corporate management, or regional headquarters roles.
  • Experience in Pharma, FMCG, or other regulated industries preferred.
  • Proven track record managing multi country operations and corporate functions.
  • Strong financial acumen, governance expertise, and cross cultural leadership capability.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Work experience in a holding company or multi-entity environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in commerce, finance, accounting, or related field.
  • Language Skills: Advanced business-level proficiency in Japanese and English is essential to support communication with Japan headquarters and regional stakeholders.
