Finance Director (Private Equity Real Estate)

A well-backed real estate investment platform is seeking a commercially astute Finance Director to lead finance operations, capital management, and investor-related activities across its regional portfolio. This is a high-impact role within a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, partnering closely with investment and senior leadership teams.
Key Responsibilities: Lead the finance function across a portfolio of real estate investments, overseeing financial reporting, consolidation, and month-end close processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness Take ownership of treasury operations, including liquidity management, cash flow forecasting, and optimisation of funding structures across multiple entities and jurisdictions Manage capital activities, including execution of capital calls, distributions, and ongoing investor funding requirements Act as a key finance partner to the investment team, supporting acquisitions, divestments, and asset management decisions through financial analysis and structuring insights Oversee fund-level finance matters, including performance tracking, portfolio analytics, and alignment with investment mandates and return expectations Lead investor-related finance activities, including preparation of reporting packs, responding to investor queries, and supporting stakeholder communications Establish and strengthen financial controls, governance frameworks, and risk management processes across the platform Drive budgeting, forecasting, and business planning processes, providing forward-looking insights to support strategic decision-making Manage banking relationships, financing arrangements, and refinancing initiatives in collaboration with lenders and external partners Build, mentor, and lead a lean finance team, fostering a high-performance and hands-on culture Work closely with external stakeholders including auditors, tax advisors, fund administrators, and service providers to ensure compliance and operational efficiency Champion process improvements, automation, and scalability of finance operations in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment Requirements: Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline with a recognised professional qualification (e.g. CA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent) 10–15 years of relevant experience, with strong exposure to private equity real estate, real estate funds, or investment platforms Proven experience in treasury, cash flow management, and capital structuring within an investment or asset-heavy environment Strong understanding of fund structures, capital calls, investor reporting, and performance analysis Prior experience partnering with investment teams on transactions (acquisitions, divestments, refinancing) is highly advantageous Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams within lean, fast-paced environments Strong technical grounding in financial reporting, consolidation, and governance frameworks Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage senior leadership and external investors Hands-on, adaptable, and able to operate effectively in an agile, evolving organisation Strong analytical mindset with the ability to balance strategic thinking and operational execution Please contact Brendan Low or email your CV directly in Word format to brendan@theedgepartnership.com Please note that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
