Key Responsibilities:
- Product Promotion: Actively promote the restaurant’s beer selections to customers, providing detailed information about various brews, including flavor profiles, origins, and brewing processes. This involves engaging with patrons to recommend beers that complement their meal choices and personal preferences.
- Customer Engagement: Create a welcoming environment by initiating conversations, offering samples, and educating customers about beer pairings. Building rapport with guests enhances their dining experience and encourages repeat visits.
- Sales Generation: Implement strategies to boost beer sales, such as suggesting premium or craft beer options, introducing limited-time offerings, and upselling larger servings or beer flights. Monitoring sales performance and adjusting tactics accordingly is essential.
- Event Participation: Represent the restaurant at events, festivals, and promotions to increase brand visibility and attract new customers. This may include setting up booths, distributing promotional materials, and conducting beer tastings.
- Collaboration with Staff: Work closely with the bar and serving staff to ensure seamless service and consistent messaging about beer promotions. Sharing knowledge and training colleagues can enhance the overall effectiveness of promotional efforts.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Beer: A strong understanding of different beer styles, brewing techniques, and industry trends is crucial. This enables the promoter to provide accurate information and make informed recommendations to customers.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills are necessary to engage with a diverse clientele and convey enthusiasm about the products.
- Sales Ability: Proven experience in sales or a related field, with the capability to persuade customers and meet sales targets. Creativity in developing promotional strategies is also valuable.
