Position Overview
The Healthcare Finance Business Partner (Manager) will play a critical role in driving financial oversight, operational excellence, and strategic initiatives across the organisation. This role combines business partnering, hands-on financial management, full set accounting oversight, and project execution (including M&A and due diligence) within a dynamic healthcare environment.
The role also requires a tech-savvy professional who can leverage data analytics, automation tools, and AI-driven solutions to enhance business performance and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Business Partnering
- Act as a finance business partner to business segment heads
- Provide financial insights to support operational and strategic decision-making
- Translate financial data into actionable recommendations for business leaders
- Support pricing, cost management, and profitability optimisation initiatives
- Participate actively in business reviews and performance discussions
- Financial Management & Full Set of Accounts
- Oversee full set of accounts for entities under assigned business segments
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial records and reporting
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Strengthen financial controls and governance standards
- Business Performance & Data Analytics
- Monitor key business and operational performance metrics
- Analyse trends, identify gaps, and recommend actionable improvements
- Develop dashboards and reporting tools (e.g. Power BI) for management insights
- Leverage data analytics to support evidence-based decision-making
- Process Improvement & Digital Enablement
- Review existing workflows, identify inefficiencies, and implement improvements
- Drive automation initiatives using tools such as bots and AI agents
- Improve data flows, reporting systems, and operational processes
- Enhance internal controls through systemisation and digital solutions
- Strategic Projects & M&A
- Support and lead projects such as:
- Due diligence for acquisitions and investments
- Market and competitor analysis
- Business case development and financial modelling
- Work closely with senior management on strategic initiatives
- Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor junior team members
- Foster a high-performance, accountable, and collaborative team culture
- Drive execution discipline and continuous improvement mindset
Requirements
Education & Experience- Good degree from a recognised university (Business / Finance / Accounting preferred)
- 3–5 years of relevant working experience
- Prior experience in healthcare, consulting, corporate finance, or audit is advantageous
- Strong financial and accounting capabilities, including full set accounting experience
- Solid understanding of business operations and performance drivers
- Experience in business partnering with operational stakeholders
- Experience in process improvement and project execution
- Exposure to M&A or due diligence is highly preferred
- Strong data and digital capabilities, including:
- Proficiency in tools such as Power BI, advanced Excel, or equivalent analytics platforms
- Familiarity with automation tools, bots, and AI agents
- Ability to translate business requirements into data-driven solutions
- Demonstrated leadership potential with ability to manage and influence stakeholders
- Driven, committed, and results-oriented
