About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Network Engineer to join our IT Infrastructure team. This role requires hands-on experience in designing, implementing, managing, and supporting enterprise network environments. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of networking protocols, best practices, and security principles, with a preference for those who hold a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification.
You will play a critical role in ensuring the availability, performance, and security of our network systems to support business operations across our Singapore office and regional locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless systems.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure minimal downtime and maximum performance.
- Administer and configure network equipment (Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, etc.) according to security and operational standards.
- Collaborate with system administrators, cybersecurity teams, and other IT stakeholders to plan and deploy network services.
- Perform network capacity planning and conduct periodic audits to ensure efficiency and compliance.
- Maintain and update documentation for network infrastructure, diagrams, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure network security through firewalls, access controls, and vulnerability assessments.
- Provide support during IT projects, office expansions, or upgrades.
- Respond to and resolve Level 2/3 incidents and escalate complex issues as needed.
- Participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support for urgent issues or maintenance.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience as a Network Engineer or in a similar capacity.
- Preferably CCNA certified (Cisco Certified Network Associate) or equivalent industry certification.
- Solid knowledge of networking protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Experience with Cisco network devices (routers, switches, firewalls) and tools (e.g., Cisco Prime, SolarWinds).
- Familiarity with firewall configurations (Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco ASA preferred).
- Knowledge of network monitoring and diagnostic tools.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
