Paralegal/Legal Executive - Toa Payoh

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Assist to organize management, board and shareholder meetings, manage the production of materials for meetings, including drafting of agendas, presentations, minutes and resolutions.
- Maintain proper records keeping, control and security of corporate and legal documentation.
- Respond to requests for information and documents in relation to the corporate matters, from our internal and external auditors, regulators, financial partners (KYC), and other stakeholders.
- Manage department’s invoice payments, contract negotiations with service vendors, assist with annual accrual and budget reporting.
- Assist to liaise with various parties to organize earnings calls, press releases, filing of announcements, update on company website.
- Review contracts (includes highlighting issues and analysing risks) and support corporate governance and administration.
- Provide translation services (English to Mandarin, Mandarin to English)
- Conduct basic legal research in various jurisdictions, including Bermuda and China regulations as well as the US listing rules.
- Support and drive any other assignments / initiatives / projects related to compliance or legal matters as and when required.
- To observe & adhere to company’s policies and procedures at all times.
- To adhere to Safety, Health & Environment procedures in all aspects of work.
- To carry out any other duties and responsibilities assigned from time to time by the superiors.
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Good command of spoken and written English and Mandarin, as the role will need to liaise with Chinese counterparts.
- Ability to stay self-motived, and work proactively and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, able to work independently and as a team player.
- Meticulous, able to work under tight deadline and a willingness to learn.
Education & Experience:
- Candidate must possess at least Diploma or degree in law or equivalent and/or corporate secretarial qualification.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in legal/corporate background work.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, such as Word, PDF and Excel.
