Responsibilities
- Greet guests as they arrive, escort them to their tables, and provide menus.
- Take food and drink orders and enter them into the POS system accurately.
- Serve food and beverages promptly and in accordance with restaurant standards.
- Ensure that guests’ needs are met during their meals and provide additional services as needed.
- Answer questions about menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods.
- Handle guest complaints and resolve issues in a professional manner.
- Clean and set tables before and after service.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure accurate orders and timely service.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including food handling and sanitation standards.
- Process payments, issue receipts, and handle cash/credit transactions.
- Proven experience as a waiter or in a similar customer service role (preferred).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and a positive attitude.
- Knowledge of food and beverage menus (experience with restaurant menus is a plus).
