Salary: Up to $17,000Contract Duration: 2 years
Location: Near One North MRT
Working Hours: Mon–Thu 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM, Fri 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
Role Overview:The Deputy Director of AI Solutions & Design plays a key leadership role in shaping strategic AI initiatives across government agencies. This position involves collaborating with senior stakeholders, translating business needs into high-level AI solutions, and overseeing project delivery in alignment with the organization’s AI Central strategy.
The role also includes facilitating partnerships with industry, research institutions, and educational institutes, as well as coordinating AI-related workshops, roadshows, and outreach events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic engagement plans with senior stakeholders across departments and statutory boards.
- Collaborate with product managers and key stakeholders to evaluate requirements for new AI projects.
- Lead teams in gathering user requirements through design thinking and translating them into actionable AI solutions.
- Prioritize projects, allocate resources efficiently, and guide agencies on tools and services needed for AI implementations.
- Facilitate partnerships with industry players, research institutes, and universities for co-development, trials, and joint initiatives.
- Monitor AI trends and advancements, assess their impact on current and future projects, and align initiatives with AI & Digitalisation Masterplans.
- Lead and coordinate AI workshops, roadshows, and outreach activities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields, with experience in AI, Data Science, or Machine Learning.
- Minimum 10 years of technology development experience, including at least 5 years in leadership roles.
- Proficient in AI solution design, implementation, and multi-tier AI/data analytics architectures.
- Knowledgeable in AI technologies across domains such as Adversarial AI, Vision AI, Language AI, Multi-modal AI, and Emerging AI.
- Strong stakeholder management, leadership, and supervisory experience.
- Experienced in leading multi-agency teams and engaging public officers or government agencies.
- Experience in the Homeland Security sector is advantageous
