Infrastructure Engineer (Contract/Banking)
- Management of network daily activities; implement change, review change script, and support incident and problem troubleshooting.
- Management of network incidents escalations from L1/L2, incident and problem, and security incident response.
- Responsible to work with the respective infra tower teams in troubleshooting and identifying root causes related to the network.
- Responsible to work with the respective network vendors’ support teams for the troubleshooting, identification, and resolution of network problems.
- Handling of the critical network incidents under pressure situations to resolve in a timely manner to minimize the business impact.
- Attend to conference calls with other support teams for problem identification and resolutions.
- Must have good communication skills and be able to work independently.
- Must adhere to process and policies of the Bank.
- Able to work under pressure and with minimal supervision.
- Senior technical role responsible for quick resolution of network-related problems.
- Proactive approach to handling and managing the network problems and ability to drive the problem situation towards resolution, without getting stuck by the dependencies on external factors.
- Able to use technical knowledge to proactively identify the potential network problems and imminent business impact areas and prevent the same.
- Able to guide junior members in the team for the same.
- Work extended hours (weekday evening, weekends) if needed in case of ongoing production problems.
- Education:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Networking, or related field.
- Experience:8+ years of network operation experience.
- Expertise:Expertise in network protocols, architectures, and technologies (e.g. TCP/IP, BGP, MPLS, MP-BGP, EVPN).
In-depth understanding of the networking concepts – Routing, switching, LAN/WAN, Spanning Tree Protocol, HSRP, ARP, VLAN, Inter-VLAN Routing, OSPF, BGP, VxLAN, Cisco ACI, VxLAN BGP eVPN, SDA, SDWAN, etc.
Hands-on experience on routers and switches for advanced troubleshooting of the network-related problems and incidents.Advanced hands-on experience on troubleshooting complex network problems.
- Skills:Logical and analytical thinking and problem analysis skills to troubleshoot complex network problems to isolate the root cause and provide a suitable resolution.
Strong problem-solving skills and positive attitude.
Excellent team player and strong interpersonal skills.Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
