Head, Casework and Community Engagement (Social Sector/East) (BH ID: 699234)

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and lead the overall framework for casework and counselling of residents.
• Manage departmental budgeting and expenditures to align with organizational objectives.
• Oversee staff relationships with residents and relevant stakeholders, ensuring a cohesive working environment.
• Provide coaching, mentoring, and professional development opportunities for staff, including onboarding and career planning.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies and standards during staff interactions.
• Oversee the Human Resource functions related to departmental staff.
• Manage casework and community engagement, ensuring effective implementation of individual case plans.
• Chair internal case reviews and oversee case documentation and funding requirements.
• Offer guidance for crisis management and complex case handling, promoting best practices.
• Conduct family interventions for referred cases, involving social/case workers in the process.
• Collaborate with external agencies, including Probation Services, to enhance rehabilitation efforts and outcomes.
• Align departmental goals with divisional objectives, driving performance goals for staff.
• Undertake any additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related field with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in social services.
• Proven managerial and organizational leadership experience.
• Strong understanding of social work interventions, policies, and community engagement strategies.
• Familiarity with clinical supervision frameworks and community resources.
• Excellent communication and writing skills.
