Job Overview
We are seeking a strategic and results-driven General Manager (GM) to lead our Singapore operations. Reporting to the COO, the GM will oversee the full spectrum of the business — from commercial growth and brand development to operations, people leadership, and financial management.
This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for driving sustainable growth, strengthening our market leadership, and ensuring operational excellence across Singapore. The GM will act as a key bridge between the corporate office and the local team, ensuring that Suzuki’s global vision is executed effectively in the Singapore market.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Growth- Define and execute a comprehensive business strategy for Singapore, aligned with the Group’s overall objectives.
- Identify new market opportunities, partnerships, and channels to expand market share.
- Serve as a brand ambassador, enhancing Suzuki’s presence and reputation in the local and regional coffee industry.
- Lead sales and marketing teams to achieve revenue growth and profitability targets.
- Develop and implement effective pricing, promotional, and distribution strategies.
- Monitor consumer trends and competitor activities, adapting strategies to stay ahead of the market.
- Work closely with corporate and commercial teams to grow distributed brands in partnership with international suppliers.
- Oversee daily operations across roasting, supply chain, distribution, after-sales, and quality control.
- Drive efficiency in production, inventory, and logistics, ensuring cost control and high service standards.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards across all operational areas.
- Build, lead, and inspire a high-performing team, fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Provide mentorship, training, and career development for team members.
- Establish a strong performance culture with clear KPIs and measurable outcomes.
- Own the P&L for the Singapore business, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance management.
- Monitor key financial metrics, implement corrective actions, and ensure profitability.
- Ensure strong governance and compliance with corporate policies.
- Your strategic thinking, leadership skills, and deep understanding of the market will be crucial in achieving our ambitious growth targets and therefore, you are required to have the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
- 8–10+ years of senior leadership experience within the coffee, F&B, FMCG, or related industries, with proven P&L responsibility.
- Deep understanding of the coffee industry in Singapore, including consumer trends, market dynamics, and competitor landscape.
- Demonstrated success in scaling business growth, leading transformation, or entering new market segments.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience in business development, sales strategy, and operations management.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
- Financial literacy, with expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis.
