This role will be responsible for identifying, developing, and managing strategic partnerships and specific strategic initiatives with Investment Management partners of AIA, that enhance the investment management capabilities of the insurer.

This role requires a deep understanding of the investment landscape, strong relationship-building skills, and the ability to drive collaboration between external partners and internal stakeholders to achieve the company's strategic objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Partnership Development: Identify and evaluate strategic partners, predominantly asset managers but also financial institutions, and technology providers, to enhance the investment management capabilities of AIA.
  • Relationship Management and oversight: Administer, maintain and evolve AIA’s strategic partnership framework and strategy to manage and deepen relationships with key partners, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals and objectives.
  • Negotiation and Execution: Lead negotiations and manage the execution of partnership agreements, ensuring favorable terms and conditions for the company.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement strategic plans for partnership initiatives that support the company's investment management strategy.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor and evaluate the performance of strategic partnerships, ensuring they deliver the expected value and contribute to the company's overall success.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market analysis and interact with internal stakeholders to identify trend, targets for fees, new strategies opportunities, and threats related to strategic partnerships in the investment management sector.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present the strategic partner dashboard, strategic partnership scorecards and partner briefings and other regular reports on partnership activities, performance, and outcomes to senior leadership.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in investment management, strategic partnerships, or related roles within the financial services industry.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and relationship-building skills; excellent communication and presentation abilities; proficiency in financial modeling and analysis.
  • Deep understanding of the investment management landscape, including asset classes, investment strategies, and market trends.
  • Ability to think strategically and develop long-term plans for partnership initiatives.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and drive collaboration across the organization.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and address challenges in partnership development and management.
  • Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and adjust partnership strategies accordingly.
