Job Purpose The Senior Asoociate Director / Associate Director (End point specialist) is responsible for architecting, leading, and governing the end-to-end end-user computing environment. This role owns the strategy, automation, and operational excellence of endpoint device management, ensuring secure, scalable, and user-centric computing services.
The role goes beyond day-to-day operations and includes technical leadership, continuous improvement, and close collaboration with Infrastructure, Security, Identity, and Service Management teams.Duties and Responsibilities
EUC Architecture & Strategy- Define and own the end-user computing architecture and standards
- Drive modern workplace strategy, including cloud-based endpoint management and zero-touch provisioning
- Establish and maintain standard device builds, policies, and configurations
- Evaluate and introduce new EUC technologies to improve security, scalability, and user experience
- Oversee the full lifecycle management of endpoint devices (laptops, desktops, mobile devices)
- Ensure endpoints are secure, compliant, patched, and operationally stable
- Design and maintain highly automated endpoint provisioning and configuration frameworks
- Manage EUC tooling platforms and integrations with identity, security, and asset systems
- Own the end-to-end user onboarding and offboarding experience
- Ensure devices are pre-configured, secure, and ready for use from Day One
- Drive improvements in user experience, reliability, and time-to-productivity
- Act as escalation point for complex EUC issues
- Lead the design and implementation of zero-touch / low-touch device deployment
- Develop and govern automation scripts, workflows, and configuration policies
- Reduce manual operations through continuous automation and standardisation
- Ensure EUC solutions are scalable, repeatable, and auditable
- Partner with Cybersecurity teams to implement endpoint security controls (encryption, EDR, device hardening)
- Ensure compliance with security policies, regulatory requirements, and audit findings
- Lead remediation initiatives for endpoint security and compliance gaps
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to EUC engineers and support teams
- Work closely with Service Desk to improve first-time fix rates and reduce escalations
- Collaborate with Infrastructure, Network, Cloud, and IAM teams to deliver integrated solutions
- Contribute to IT governance, standards, and architectural forums
- Define KPIs, SLAs, and operational metrics for EUC services
- Lead root-cause analysis for major incidents and recurring problems
- Drive continuous service improvement and service maturity
- University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related disciplines.
- 12 - 15 years of working experience in IT, with experience in endpoint management, security & compliance, user authentication, single-sign-on and virtualization, etc.
- Deep hands-on experience with:
- Enterprise Windows and/or macOS environments
- Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) / MDM platforms
- Strong expertise in:
- Automated device provisioning and configuration
- Application packaging and lifecycle management
- Endpoint security and patching strategies
- Strong scripting and automation skills
- Experience designing scalable, automated endpoint solutions
- Familiarity with cloud-based identity and access integration
- Proven experience leading complex EUC initiatives or transformations
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience operating in large, complex enterprise or higher-education environments
- Experience with modern workplace and cloud-first EUC strategies
- Exposure to ITIL / service management frameworks
- Experience working with security and compliance-driven environments
- Strategic thinker with strong execution capability
- Automation-first and user-centric mindset
