Senior Civil Engineer
About the role
As a Senior Civil Engineer at Quek Hock Seng Construction Pte Ltd, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the design, planning, and implementation of complex civil engineering projects in the Jurong East West Region. This full-time position offers the opportunity to contribute to the strategic growth and success of the company while honing your technical expertise in the field of civil/structural engineering.
What you'll be doing- Lead the planning, design, and execution of civil engineering projects, ensuring adherence to industry standards and client requirements
- Manage project teams, coordinate with stakeholders, and oversee the timely delivery of projects
- Conduct technical analyses, prepare detailed engineering drawings, and provide technical guidance to project teams
- Identify and mitigate potential risks, and implement effective solutions to ensure the successful completion of projects
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, project managers, and site supervisors, to ensure seamless project delivery
- Assist in the development and implementation of quality control measures and safety protocols
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices to continuously improve the company's engineering capabilities
- Minimum 8 years of proven experience in the civil/structural engineering field, preferably in the construction industry
- Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, with a valid professional engineering (P.E.) license
- Excellent technical skills, including proficiency in design software, project management, and problem-solving
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Thorough understanding of relevant construction codes, regulations, and industry best practices
- Demonstrated experience in managing complex projects from inception to completion
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing project requirements
