Summary:
The Business Development Manager is responsible for winning new business and developing profitable accounts for OIA’s logistics solutions. The role focuses on industries such as Oil & Gas, Project Suppliers, Marine, and ircraft Spares.
This is an individual contributor role primarily focused on developing new customers and building a portfolio of accounts rather than managing existing house accounts. The successful candidate will have a strong hunter mindset, a proven track record in new business development, and the ability to open doors and grow business independently in a competitive market.
Based in Singapore, the role will focus on opportunities in Singapore while working closely with OIA’s global network to support regional and international logistics opportunities.
Candidates with an established network within the Oil & Gas, project logistics, marine, or aviation sectors will be highly valued.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identify and win new customers within Oil & Gas, project suppliers, marine logistics, and aircraft spare sectors
- Build and manage a pipeline of opportunities and convert them into profitable accounts
- Achieve agreed annual revenue and gross profit targets through new business development
- Develop relationships with logistics managers, procurement leaders, and supply chain decision makers
- Promote OIA’s logistics solutions including freight forwarding, project logistics, time‑critical shipments, and multimodal transportation
- Work closely with operations and product teams to deliver solutions that meet customer requirements
- Generate opportunities for the global OIA network and support cross‑border business development
- Maintain accurate pipeline updates and sales activity reporting in the company CRM system
- Provide market intelligence on competitors, pricing, and industry developments
Required Skills and Abilities:

- Experience in Oil & Gas, project logistics, marine or aircraft spare logistics preferred
- Strong hunter mindset with a proven ability to win new business
- Strong communication, negotiation and relationship‑building skills
- Ability to work independently and develop business opportunities in a competitive market
- Fluent written and spoken English
Travel Travel may be required to visit customers and develop business opportunities.
