About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Director to lead the ECO business unit of the Gain City group of companies.
In this role, you will be responsible establishing and managing end-to-end operations for a scalable and compliant e-waste collection and recycling business. You will lead the design and implementation of operational processes and ensure full compliance with regulations.You will recruit, train and lead a high-performing team to carry out efficient collection, dismantling and disposal of e-waste.
Key Responsibilities- Be familiar with the EPR Scheme for E-waste, including relevant obligations
- Ensure full compliance with all relevant regulations, statutory requirements and internal SOPs
- Design, implement and manage a scalable and sustainable business model for the collection and recycling of e-waste
- Lead contract negotiations and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and partners
- Lead, coach and develop a high-performing team of collectors and operations personnel to ensure effective and efficient operations
- Review existing processes and organisational structures to identify opportunities for improved efficiency, automation and enhanced business partnering
- Explore and evaluate diversification opportunities, including, but not limited to scrap metal, food waste and other recyclable materials
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in e-waste management
- Proven leadership experience, with a strong track record of building and developing high-performing teams
- In-depth knowledge of regulations and statutory compliance
- Demonstrated success in driving process improvements
- Strong experience in cost management and leading efficiency initiatives
