About the role
What you'll be doing- Assist the Project Manager in planning, organising, and coordinating all aspects of construction projects
- Monitor project progress, identify and resolve issues, and ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including schedules, reports, and financial records
- Oversee the work of site supervisors, tradespeople, and other project team members
- Support the implementation of health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management processes and best practices
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar Assistant Project Manager or Project Coordinator role within the construction industry
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to plan, organise, and coordinate multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, subcontractors, and project team members
- Proficient in the use of project management software, such as Microsoft Project or Primavera
- Thorough understanding of construction processes, regulations, and best practices
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain a high level of attention to detail
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
