Business Development Executive (O&G)
We are partnering with a leading global MNC to hire a self-driven and commercially focused Business Development (BD) Executive. The BD Executive will support all business development and sales activities, develop and execute effective sales strategies, and build long-term relationships with clients.Additionally, the role is accountable for identifying new market opportunities and establishing plans to broaden the customer base and strengthen the company’s market presence in the cargo sector.
The ideal candidate will bring business development experience from the TIC (Testing, Inspection, Certification) industry or adjacent sectors such as petroleum, petrochemicals, or logistics. He/she would have proven track record in supporting sales growth, with strong experience in planning and executing marketing strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and drive new business growth and manage existing client relationships across the petroleum and commodities sector.
- Define and implement a territory sales plan aligned with the company’s regional growth strategy.
- Conduct customer research, prospecting, and lead generation across relevant industry verticals.
- Coordinate sales activities across field and in-house teams to ensure smooth service delivery and high client satisfaction.
- Prepare and follow up on client proposals, commercial offers, and tender submissions.
- Set and monitor monthly and annual sales targets in collaboration with the regional leadership.
- Attend industry events and trade shows to build network and market visibility.
- Deliver regular sales forecasts and reports to track performance.
- Ensure consistent client engagement and support, acting as the key contact for escalations and opportunities.
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of sales or business development experience in the petroleum, petrochemical, or inspection industry. Having a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field will be an advantage.
- Demonstrated track record in achieving sales targets and executing marketing strategies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare persuasive presentations.
- Strong client-facing, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated and results-driven with a high level of energy and ownership.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within regional teams.
