Job Scope :

The job scope of a Quantity Surveyor focuses on project cost management, procurement support, and contract administration, with responsibilities spanning both pre- and post-contract phases.

Cost Analysis & Budget Control
Establish cost analysis files for awarded projects once approved and activated.
Monitor project costing and provide up-to-date reports to management.
Check purchase requisitions against project budgets, highlight discrepancies, and secure approvals before procurement.
Procurement & Subcontracting Support
Assist Project Managers with procurement and subcontracting issues.
Ensure purchase orders (POs) are aligned with approved budgets.
Liaise with subcontractors to resolve contractual and financial matters.
Claims & Payment Certification
Assist in checking progress claims, variation claims, and subcontractor claims.
Evaluate and certify progress claims submitted by subcontractors.
Discuss certifications with management before releasing payment certificates.
Pre- and Post-Contract Services
Handle quantity take-offs and cost estimation.
Provide contract administration support throughout project lifecycles.
