Assistant Manager / Manager, Financial Reporting (12-Month Contract, Extendable)
Location: ChangiSalary: UP TO $7,000 per month
About the Role:We are looking for a skilled Finance Manager or Assistant Manager to join our Financial Reporting team. In this role, you will support general ledger and financial reporting functions, as well as the consolidation of Group financial results. This position also covers the responsibilities of team members involved in ERP-related training and testing, ensuring seamless operations during the ERP transition.
This is a 12-month contract role with the possibility of an extension of up to 6 months, offering a valuable opportunity to deepen your financial reporting and consolidation expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage monthly closing activities, including flash reporting and commentary.
- Conduct variance analyses, prepare or review journal entries, and resolve financial reporting issues.
- Consolidate the Group’s monthly financial results accurately and on time.
- Liaise with finance teams across subsidiaries to ensure timely submission of reports.
- Analyse financial performance and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Support operational finance requirements and collaborate with stakeholders to resolve issues.
- Handle ad hoc financial information requests and provide guidance on accounting standards.
- Assist with interim and year-end audits and act as the main liaison with external auditors.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and financial reporting standards.
- Undertake special assignments or ad hoc projects as needed.
Requirements:
- Degree in Accountancy or equivalent; CA/CPA qualification is mandatory.
- At least 5 years of experience, including 3 years with a Big 4 audit firm; commercial finance experience in group consolidation and financial reporting is a strong plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective stakeholder management.
- Detail-oriented, resourceful, independent, and hands-on.
- Proficient in analysis with strong knowledge of consolidation reporting and Singapore financial reporting standards.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with multiple priorities.
- Proficient in MS Office; SAP experience is advantageous.
- Basic understanding of sustainability frameworks (ISSB, TCFD, GRI) and prior experience in sustainability reporting are desirable.
