What you'll do:
As a Hedge Fund Operations Associate, your role will be pivotal in ensuring smooth operations within the company. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve performing detailed Triparty Transactions and Positions reconciliations across various platforms.You will be expected to identify any discrepancies between internal records and external statements promptly. Your excellent communication skills will come into play as you communicate these findings effectively for resolution. You will also provide valuable insights on reconciliation results, identifying key trends and issues that need attention.
Your proactive mindset will drive you to escalate unresolved issues to management while recommending viable solutions for process improvements. Collaborating with various internal teams will be crucial in ensuring accurate reporting and reconciliation processes.
Furthermore, you will assist in developing and documenting best practices for these processes.
- Perform daily Triparty Transactions and Positions reconciliations across internal systems, Fund Administrators and Custodians for all Funds.
- Identify and investigate discrepancies between internal records and external statements.
- Communicate the reconciliation results to Fund Administrator for breaks resolution.
- Provide insights on reconciliation results, highlighting key trends and issues.
- Utilise reconciliation tools and systems to automate and streamline reconciliation processes.
- Escalate unresolved issues to management and recommend solutions for process improvements.
- Collaborate with internal teams such as finance, treasury, risk and IT to ensure accurate reporting and reconciliation processes.
- Assist in the development and documentation of reconciliation procedures and best practices.
- Assist in testing enhancements related to reconciliation processes.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the Hedge Fund Operations Associate position brings a wealth of experience from the finance industry. With a degree in Engineering, Finance or a related discipline under your belt, you are well-versed in the intricacies of the finance world.Your 2-5 years of relevant experience, especially if it includes Buy Side, will be invaluable in this role. Your excellent product knowledge on Bonds, IRS, FX, Options, Equities, Futures and OTCs sets you apart from others. You are self-motivated with a positive and proactive mindset that allows you to tackle challenges head-on.
Your excellent communication skills enable you to articulate complex financial concepts clearly and effectively. English fluency is a must for this role.
- Degree holder in Engineering, Finance or related disciplines.
- 2-5 years of relevant experience in the Finance industry.
- Previous experience in Buy Side would be a plus.
- Excellent product knowledge on Bonds, IRS, FX, Options, Equities, Futures and OTCs.
- Self-motivated with positive and proactive mindset.
- Excellent communication skills.
- English fluency required.
