Job Title: Director / Associate Director, Compliance (MAS liaison and brokerage exp, preferred) Location: Central, Singapore Responsibilities: Due to strong growth in Singapore, a newly created Director / Associate Director of Compliance is required, and he/she will oversee the compliance function in Singapore and advise on all Singapore-related compliance and regulatory matters, including but not limited to: Acting as the primary liaison to the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), exchanges, and other regulatory bodies.
Researching, interpreting, and advising on compliance with laws, regulations, and guidelines applicable to brokers in Singapore. Managing the implementation and maintenance of strategies and frameworks to comply with MAS and exchange requirements for all regulated activities.Assisting in drafting instructions for programmers and technology staff to facilitate necessary changes due to regulatory updates or requirements. Drafting and implementing firm policies and written supervisory procedures. Managing all relevant regulatory inspections and audits (internal and external), including developing and executing remedial action plans for any findings.
Required Qualifications and Skills: Self-starter with strong analytical skills. Excellent organizational abilities with the capacity to prioritize tasks and work independently in a dynamic environment. Proficient with technology and its application in business and regulatory contexts.
Exceptional oral and written communication skills. Ability to develop compliance solutions that align with regulations while exercising sound business judgment. Collaborative team player with experience in a small team environment. Proven track record at a financial services regulatory agency, exchange, or licensed financial services firm.
