Senior IT Infrastructure & Operations Engineer - Toa Payoh

Job Summary:

This role requires hands-on expertise in Windows server environments, virtualization platforms (VMware), Azure cloud services, and ITSM processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily IT operations across physical and virtualized server environments (VMware, Hyper-V).
• Maintain and support Azure cloud services, including resource provisioning, monitoring, and backup solutions.
• Administer Microsoft Windows Server 2012/2016/2019, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policies.
• Perform regular server patching, updates, and security hardening.
• Monitor system performance and ensure high availability and reliability.
• Conduct incident, change, and problem management using ITIL/ITSM frameworks.
• Handle backup operations (e.g., Veeam, CommVault), including scheduling, recovery testing, and troubleshooting.
• Coordinate with vendors and support teams for issue resolution and service improvement.
• Participate in business continuity and disaster recovery planning and testing.
• Provide Tier 2/3 support for critical infrastructure issues.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in IT infrastructure support.

Strong knowledge of:

• Windows Server (2012/2016/2019)
• VMware vSphere/ESXi
• Microsoft Azure cloud services
• Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPO
• Backup solutions (Veeam/CommVault)

Preferred Skills:

• Familiar with ITIL processes; ITIL Foundation certification is mandatory.
• Experience with ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow or BMC Remedy.
• Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
• Able to work in a high-availability and fast-paced production environment.

Certifications:

• ITIL Foundation (Mandatory)
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
• VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
