About the role

We are seeking an experienced Pastry Cook/Baker to join our talented team at Gobi Desserts' in the Singapore. This is a full-time position where you will play a crucial role in crafting our delectable pastries and baked goods. As a Pastry Cook/Baker, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality desserts and baked items using the finest ingredients and adhering to our exacting standards.

1. Prepare a variety of pastries, cakes, breads and other baked goods according to recipes and presentation standards
2. Measure and mix ingredients to create doughs, batters, fillings and toppings
3. Operate baking equipment such as ovens, mixers and cutting tools with skill and precision
4. Ensure all baked items meet quality and appearance standards before serving or displaying
5. Maintain a clean and organized work station, following all food safety and sanitation protocols
6. Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new and innovative dessert offerings
7. Provide excellent customer service and respond to any special requests

1. Minimum 2 years of experience as a Pastry Cook/Baker in a commercial kitchen environment
2. Strong knowledge of baking techniques, recipes and proper food handling procedures
3. Excellent attention to detail and ability to work efficiently with a high degree of accuracy
4. Creative flair and passion for crafting visually appealing and delicious pastries
5. Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
6. Relevant vocational training or certification in baking or culinary arts
