Job Responsibilities
Business Development & Client Management- Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities, with a strong focus on freight forwarding clients.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with existing and new key accounts to drive customer retention and revenue growth.
- Promote and position Savino Del Bene’s full suite of logistics solutions to meet client requirements and achieve annual sales KPIs.
Freight Forwarding Solutions Selling
Actively promote and sell the company’s end-to-end logistics and freight forwarding services, including:
- Ocean & Air Import/Export
- FCL / LCL consolidation
- Distribution & Warehousing
- LTL Transportation
- Customs Brokerage
- Cargo Insurance & value-added services
- Source and qualify potential customers through cold calls, referrals, networking, and market research.
- Arrange and conduct customer meetings to understand logistics needs and convert opportunities into revenue.
- Prepare and deliver professional sales quotations, tenders, and commercial proposals.
- Lead client presentations to showcase the company’s capabilities and tailored logistics solutions.
- Perform rate negotiation with shipping lines, airlines, co-loaders, and other vendors to ensure competitive offerings.
- Coordinate closely with Operations and Customer Service teams to ensure seamless onboarding and service delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pricing, and quotations in the CRM system.
- Provide timely follow-up on customer queries, ensuring a smooth and professional customer experience.
- Support the Finance team by monitoring overdue accounts and following up with clients on outstanding payments when necessary.
- Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in the freight forwarding industry (Ocean / Air / Import / Export / Operations / Sales preferred).
- Strong understanding of international freight processes, Incoterms, customs procedures, and global trade documentation.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Highly motivated, independent, and able to work well in a team-oriented environment.
- Proven track record in developing new business and managing customer relationships is an added advantage.
