Scam Liaison officer

Contract Duration: 6 Months

Job scope:

• Support Investigation Officers (IOs) in engaging scam victims and maintaining case records.
• Explain Restriction Orders (ROs) and guide victims through the process.
• Maintain regular contact with victims, providing support and monitoring their well-being.
• Share anti-scam advice and educate victims on protecting themselves from future scams.
• Assist victims in rebuilding confidence and making informed decisions.
• Refer victims to relevant community and social support services when needed.
• Organise and participate in activities and support groups for scam victims.
• Coordinate assessments, case conferences, and follow-up sessions with relevant stakeholders.
• Monitor for signs of ongoing scam involvement and escalate concerns when necessary.
• Build and maintain partnerships with community agencies to strengthen support networks for victims.

• Maintain accurate records of victim interactions, case progress, and support provided.
• Document key observations, concerns, and improvements throughout the victim's recovery journey.
• Ensure case records are updated and comply with departmental requirements.
• Track victim progress and identify factors that support successful interventions.
• Prepare regular updates and reports for supervisors and Investigation Officers (IOs) to support case management and decision-making.

Requirements:

• Relevant work experience in Counselling, Social Work, or related fields, demonstrating practical application of counselling or social work principles.
