Technical Project Manager

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Project Manager, preference experience in automation, laser and 3D printing automation to lead and execute laser-based projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of laser technology, project management methodologies, and a proven track record of delivering successful projects within budget and timeline constraints.

• Project Planning and Execution
• Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Ensure adherence to project timelines, quality standards, and budget constraints.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, sales, and marketing.
• Technical Expertise
• Provide frontline support, problem solving with factory backend support
• Possess a strong understanding of laser technology, applications, and industry trends.
• Provide technical guidance and support to project teams.
• Collaborate with laser engineers to develop innovative solutions.
• Evaluate and select appropriate laser systems and components for project requirements.
• Manage project risks and issues, and implement corrective actions as needed
• Customer Relationship Management
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Understand customer needs and translate them into project requirements.
• Manage customer expectations and ensure project deliverables meet their satisfaction.
• Team Leadership
• Lead and motivate project teams to achieve project objectives.
• Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
• Provide mentorship and coaching to team members.
• Financial Management
• Develop and manage project budgets
• Track project expenses and revenue.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities.

• Bachelor's degree in engineering/ mechanical, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, preferably in the laser industry.
• Proven track record of successful project delivery.
• Strong technical knowledge of laser systems and applications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to travel (domestic and international) to customer site (50% of time)
• Proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients
• PMP certification would be a plus
